Everyone of us irrespective of our age we would have made few decisions in our life knowingly or unknowingly and the decision to be taken might be as big as rolling out a reform in a country or it can be choosing one toy over other by a child.
The following are few questions and answers that I perceive with respect to decision making.
- Is it easy to decide? I would say yes, no and maybe
- Will my decision be constant irrespective of number of time(s) I need to decide? May be no from my side.
- Will someone collide with our decision given the same parameters? there is a high probability for collision.
So the question is why there is a lot of uncertainty with respect to DM? I think its basically because, before we decide, an array of factors along with
flash in our mind, what I see once might not be the same when I see it second time. Also, from my perspective the following might be few aspects that can influence a decision maker before he choose:
- Situational parameters
- Perception
- Personal ability
- Liability
- Experience &
- Intuition
Of the above I'm going to reflect my thoughts on Experience & Intuition as in Session - 8 we had a lot of discussions with respect to them. As usual our prof. Viji ignited us with videos and this time it was from a movie, I think all of you should see that clip, please see this clip before reading further.
So what happens after that? If you have not seen the movie, request you to see it first and then resume reading this post.

Hope, you have seen the movie now! Yes, Captain Sully landed the plane in Hudson River and all 155 passenger survived, along with the crew! How did he do that?
Does Intuition also comes along with experience????? Yes, All of us have our own intutions but, the real question here is will our intuition help us to make correct decision? Guess you have my answer and your answer as well. See you in next post!!!!!!!!! Stay safe!!!!!
